Salt Valley Art’s Community Service Group made fidget mats for the residents of EHM's Memory Center during the month of September 2024. 

 

One of the ways that individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia show anxiety or agitation is in the hands, or rubbing hands together. Fidget mats are one way to help restore calm. They provide engagement and joy.
